Skara Brae - sunday in the Atlantic

After morning prayer, it was decided to hove-to again and get back up the mast and repair the damaged track/cars Allan volunteered for this - and did his best but couldn't budge the stuck car we had to abandon our work due to another Squall,

2nd time Scott had a shot - but after bashing himself off the mast a few times and with some choice words that should not be heard on a Sunday - we let him down next up was Andy - who reluctantly went up - and fixed it - woho the sail came down!

Once down we surveyed the damage cars, tracks and sail holes, we repaired what we could before dark is upon us in 1/2 hr. We now have a sail that can go up an down but with 2 reefs - in as we cant go past the damaged track, this will severely curtail our speed - as we are now experiencing light winds and need the full sail - and only 2/3rds of the sail is actually attached by cars/ropes to the mast - so we couldn't put it all up anyway.

But at least we are moving again - albeit at a snails pace winds have dropped and veered North - so we are heading south at 5kts

Hopefully have a quiet night!

cheers everybody enjoy Monday morning at work (at least we don't have to do that LOL)
