Peat Smoke - A Night to Remember

A NIGHT TO REMEMBER

Contadora was the venue for our last farewell

To the Las Perlas Islands venture and head back to the Pacific swell!

The food and drinks were hosted by the Punta Galleon Hotel

What a wonderful location and they looked after us oh so well!

Paul and Joel got the evening started with prizes for some yachts

Although this was very exciting as there seemed to be lots and lots!

Many photographs were taken and people interviewed as well

We wondered of the interest the World ARC they want to sell!

But disappointed we were when the sponsors decided to tell

The main feature was their Water and so our faces duly fell!

But on again came Paul and introduced the next act - Nina

A new singing sensation from Panama and nearly as good as old Tina!

Another request was made but still nobody did appear

And Paul looked so shocked, he most definitely needed a beer!

He was not sure what was happening, he looked like he would run

But he kept his cool and was amazing and managed to make it into fun!

And then we saw the two hunks holding up a sheet

We wondered what they were hiding so we got up from our seat!

They moved towards the stage and housekeeping they were not

So then we realised it must be someone very hot!!

Pauls face it was a picture, he must have thought what now

But when they dropped the sheet he smiled and then muttered  "wow"!

So this was Nina's entrance and she certainly was a stunner

But when it came to singing, well she definitely was a bummer!

The cameras they were focused on her every move

And the fire eating support dancers were really in the groove!

Her album is now ready and this will be the test

But we really hope she makes it and wish her all the best!

Next we had the fireworks a wonderful display

And what a lovely ending to a really superb day!

But soon we were taking cover from the fallout from the sky

With lots of bits of debris closely flying by!

Some landed on our table some even our clothes and hair

But the whole thing was so amusing, we really didn't care!

Then Paul sat at our table and recalled his night from hell

But we thought he did an amazing job and I'm sure you all do as well!

So when we are back on Islay and having fireworks in November

We will always think about Contadora, a night we will certainly remember!
