The amazing sled ride that we started at sunset last night continued all through the night. As a matter of fact, at about 4:00am we pulled in the first reef, lowered the gennaker and went back to the genoa. We have constant 18-24 knots on the beam. WE ARE LOVING THIS!!!!!

We see Outrageous about seven miles ahead. They are sailing brilliantly. We just moved past Easy Rider at dawn, with Lir and Alia Vita right behind then. Off our port beam is Eleanora 2 and off the starboard beam is T&T. We are in good company and I am sure that everyone is really enjoying this ride.

Two dorado have taken our lures. Neither made the decision to come onboard with us. Luckily, we didn't lose too much time and more importantly, we didn't lose our lucky lures. We are really holding out for Tuna, anyway. We are, of course, plopping all of the flying fish that made their final kamikaze flight on to our deck, back into the water.

Late afternoon we passed within 200 meters of Eleanora 2. We hung alongside them for quite a while. Our speed was really good and we were holding our own with our neighboring boats and holding close with Incredible Elk and Archer, 20 miles south of us on nearly the same longitude.

We are settling into our watch routines, getting some reading in, small chores around the boat and setting our internal clocks around sunrise and sunset. There is, of course dinner. It must be that Sarah preps dinner in the wee hours of the morning when nobody else is stirring. Every evening, we have a great meal coming out of the oven. Tonight was no exception. Mousaka returned to the menu, accompanied by boiled and fried yucca. You might have noticed that there was no wine mentioned in the dinner description for yesterday's dinner. That's right, we must have been tired, no one asked and no corks were unleashed. Tonight, however, we returned to our house favorite, 2010 Azpilicueta Rioja.

Dinner was short as the wind was moderating and holding a great direction. We pulled up the gennaker and sailed nearly straight down the rhumb line, direction St. Lucia.
