Thula - Day 0 - One extra Day

This day started with a slight change of plan: due to stronger than expected winds the start of the race was postponed to tomorrow. Of course we are glad that we did not have to leave the harbour to find out about the strong winds (30 knots +). On the other hand, we were all very much excited and happy to finally depart. So the delay was a slight bummer… We ended up using the extra day for the last shopping trips, preparing the boat, sorting out the cabins etc. In the evening, our friends Jeroen and Arie from the Reina came over for drinks. We tried our best to secure ourselves a competitive advantage by offering them slightly stronger long drinks than normal. Today will show if it did the trick. The day was rounded off by a great dinner on the boat (Coq au Vin) followed by a delicious desert at our favourite place Pier 19 which we will dearly miss at sea. Now we are finally ready to go.
