Adagio - Closing in ... on half-way :)

Well, we are at least moving again :) It has been a trip full of wonders so far; wondering if the wind will come back, which direction it might hold and how long it will last. Not to despair tho, we have some good winds today and are making good time with only the jib and mizzen out. We are holding pack putting the pedal down and trying to go faster because the winds seems to be gusty and unpredictable right now at 10 to 25 knots mainly from the west. The GRIB right at our position shows we should be seeing 10 knots out of the north. Ah well, it's only a forecast.

Yesterday was an auspicious day as we celebrated crewman Tom's , Robin, birthday aboard. Nice job,Robin, on the ginger cake and chocolate ice cream! A very tasty treat. We are thinking we can have birthdays every couple of days if we did it just right.

Our generator overheated and we found the impeller pretty well shredded, Too bad, as it was hot down in the engine room and we are on big swells so it will be a bit until it gets repaired (later today). Till then we will just have to start the engine to charge up. Other than that the boat has performed very well.

We've had a pretty good run of it so far. Except for the squirrelly or non-existent winds and some particularly well spaced swell giving us a good roll from time to time it has been pleasant and fun first half.

SV Adagio,
Gary, Robin, LeVent, Tom
