Aviva - Day 3 -- Wednesday

Today is a lovely day on the water, although winds a bit light, but that feels nice after a couple of days of boiling right along with winds mostly around 15. With three on board to rotate watches, we are all well-rested, and after a pancake breakfast, well-fed. Since leaving the Gulf Stream, we have been heading just about due south rather than our original plan of further easting at this point due to the report of weather west of Bermuda, which we have been grateful to hear via the morning SAT phone meetings as our access to email via SAT phone has not been working thus far (am writing this in high hopes it will work again at some point).

With the water a rich blue color and air temps in the mid 70's, what more could we ask? OK, maybe this would be a good time for a fish to bite! So far we have only caught seaweed, but we've heard of a couple of mahi and a tuna being caught by others in the fleet. We did have one flying fish on board this morning, but we aren't counting that as a catch!

Thinking of our family and friends,
Dorothy, Fred and Mark
