Firefly - Tired and emotional in Antigua

After arriving in English Harbour we have been having a lazy time. The first day and night was spent in Nelson's historic dockyard . We then had the luxury of a night ashore at Nonsuch Bay resort where Barney Greenhill our one man heroic support team is based. After enjoying his hospitality, food, pool and drinks cabinet Paul and Peter sailed Firefly from English Harbour round to Nonsuch Bay - a distance of just over 10 miles. She is now anchored off the resort and should be here for over a week waiting for Susie, then Jane to arrive and Paul to get in some kite surfing. Barney and Murray spent the day sight seeing and visiting Salcombe ex pats Graeme and Lesley Shove. Murray is leaving on a jet plane on Tuesday and this will sadly bring to an end our association with 60's folk music. However, watch this space for future associations. Our knowledge of Jimmy Buffet songs is limited and will not be able to compete with aficionados Graham and Meredith and G2.

Our blogs will be posted with reduced frequency over the Christmas and New Year period. After our break in Antigua, Firefly will be routing south and stopping to sample the French Protectorate Islands, Guadaloupe, Dominica and Martinique en route to St Lucia. Normal service will then be resumed at the start of the World ARC, Firefly leaving Rodney Bay on Saturday 11th of January 2015 destined for San Blas, 80 miles East of the Panama Canal.
