In 1947 K Adlard Coles founded his own publishing company. He himself wrote many books, including pilots, narratives and the classic, world-famous Heavy Weather Sailing. Today, Adlard Coles Nautical is an imprint of A & C Black Publishers, who bought both Nautical Books and Adlard Coles and merged the two in 1990. Over thirty books a year are produced by a team of three, headed by Janet Murphy, director of Adlard Coles Nautical and editor since 1986. Its future looks assured with plenty of new authors, and more importantly, the support of enthusiastic readers and sailors. With almost 300 books in print, Adlard Coles Nautical continues to provide sailors with practical, informative and up-to-date books on a wide range of cruising topics.
In January 2004, A&C Black acquired the Reed's Nautical Almanac series from Nautical Data Ltd. First published in 1932, The Reed's Nautical Almanac is a unique compendium of annually updated navigational and port information, relied upon by tens of thousands of leisure and professional boaters. Reeds Almanac and its regional editions is now the flagship the Adlard Coles Nautical imprint.

ISTEC - parasailor

At the end of 2003, ISTEC took over the research & development as well as the manufacturing and the worldwide distribution of the well-known Parasailor spinnakers. A team of experienced designers, developing and manufacturing specialists with distinctive and deep knowledge of paraglider, surf kite and sail development, succeeded in finding new ways in sailing technology. In close co-operation with the inventor, Mr. Hartmut Schaedlich from Carlsberg / Germany, the patented Parasailor spinnaker was substantially reworked and aerodynamically optimised by ISTEC. Feedback from the participants of each ARC is incorporated into design and production constantly.The Parasailor enhancements benefit not only race and cruising sailors, but especially the short or even single handed blue water sailor. The Parasailor will bring back spinnaker sailing to sailors who, for safety and comfort reasons, didn't want to use standard spinnakers or gennakers in the past. ISTEC provides the complete Parasailor range for Yachts from 30 to 100 feet including a special recovery sock with a light and rigid Carbon fibre funnel and a special compressible sail bag through a global network of dealers and distributors.

The Marina at Marigot Bay

The Marina at Marigot Bay is located in the South-East Corner of Marigot Bay in front of the Discovery at Marigot Bay Resort and Spa.
The Marina can accommodate 40 yachts from 30 ft to 250 ft LOA with a maximum draft of 16 ft and a maximum beam of 44ft.
The Marina is approached through a buoyed entrance channel, 160ft wide, from the entrance waypoint at 13 degrees 58.1 minutes North, 61 degrees, 01.8 minutes West.
Marigot Bay, tucked away on the scenic west coast of St Lucia, has long been known as the eastern Caribbean’s safest and most attractive hurricane hole.
