Orion - Week 2, Sunday, Dec.9

Again we have got our share of tropical rain during the night, but the wind is more stable now and we can head directly towards St Lucia in a comfortable downwind. The visibility has been low and we used the radar to keep watch.
Clouds and rain and lumpy seas, apart from the temperature it reminds me of home. The humidity is high and quite exhausting, especially wearing a special Musto sauna suit. Wet from the inside or wet from the outside, which is preferable? Change of watches today, two people per watch instead of three so I had a marathon 6 hours sleep; bliss. Barbara. A quick tweak of sails after I came on watch this morning and we were surfing at 12 knots down waves after waves, now its dark and phosphorescence is flying as again I am on watch. ( Tim that is gunning it )The last leg looks good for us and maybe our chasing the weather may pay of. Keith
