El Mundo - Thursday 6th December

Sometimes nothing happens at sea and the last 24 hours or so have been such a period, so I have nothing to report.

Other than:

We had the most enormous and impressive lightening last night with the mainstorm centred to the North - God's fireworks in all their splendour.

We had numerous squalls and changeable gusting winds last night that tried the patience and stamina of all the crew.

We have no wind today and have decided to motor towards St Lucia to find wind - drifting away from St Lucia in circles was no one's idea of fun.

Dee, Robert and Nick went swimming at 18 degrees 30 minutes point 8 North;43 degrees 31 minutes point 3 West - in 4,000 metres!

We sighted a whale 50 metres off our starboard beam.

Robert blocked the forward heads with kitchen paper - I know, I know - and has spent the afternoon removing the blockage.

We had fresh mango and mango ice cream for elevenses.

Actually.........now I look at it..........maybe quite a lot happened.

Here is today's El Mundo brain-teaser.

Question Number 8.

How many Nobel Peace Prize winners have been born in Switzerland?

Have fun - we are doing our best to do the same.

As always love to you know who.

This is yacht El Mundo - oovvvvvveeeeerrrrrr aaannnnnddddd out!
