Surfing Petrel's crew put in three gybes during the late afternoon and night - just to make sure that we have the manoeuvre down to a fine art. The crew are competitive, as is only to be expected, and position reports are eagerly awaited. These we then laboriously reformat so that the positions of some of our competition can be displayed on the navigation software (perhaps the race org could do that in the future for the fleet?).
Other than that, rather fine downwind conditions. Occasional flying fish, no direct hit on the boat yet. Amusing tales of old ocean racing antics getting an airing...
