Magelanus III - Dancing with the dolphins

Was it a whistle? Not sure, but no doubt, dolphins were back! They crossed under the hull, they turned around, they jumped, they looked at us (yes, they did turning on the side!), and did I hear them whistling? Maybe, but, for sure, they danced! We danced together. Ten minutes of pure joy!

ENE winds continue to mark our pace. Yesterday we opened the genoa and sailed for two hours on a different course, in an attempt to accelerate. We did accelerate and enjoyed the beating. But our two engineers made their calculations and we realized we were slower to the target. So, here we go again in an almost transom… the absence of a spinnaker pole eliminating the use of a sustainable genoa not allowing more than the familiar 5-6 knots. But we are below the 700 miles to destination!

“Rodney", the white “garça” (I don’t know the English name) who spent two days on board left us after recovering forces and flew away after a few turns around the boat saluting us in a friendly farewell. Well, I got to go. Vilela, our “Chefe” is calling us from the kitchen: its lunch time!
