Well, took the decision that as no wind we will need to try and motor further south maybe down to 15 degrees as reports of other boats finding some wind between 13/15
Called in at Mindelo on Sao Vincente , Cap Verde Islands . Looked really interesting - a pity that we did not have more time - maybe the ARC + next year! Re filled with diesel and water and set off without touching terra firma . To our surprise met several ARC boats both coming and going plus a few doing repairs.
WOW only 2000 miles to go ( thats 4 years sailing for The Renny's) - so all you out there willing us on can you pray for a blow from the NE oe E. Strange behaviours kick in when becalmed - Carol was even heard to order us to get the cruising chute up with 7 knots of wind- I am told she hates cruising chutes weight loss looks inevitable - just hope Julia recognizes me at the other end with my new reduced look.
