Albatros - ALBATROS Day 7

Last night and today we experienced quite some wind changes between 8 and 25knots mostly from south western direction. It was also time to get our first shower
from the splashy water and from the raining sky, Today we hit the 1000 nautical miles mark and during the night the 12knots speed record of the Albatros.
In the late afternoon we mounted the smaller Fock in red color in order to better manage the stronger winds.
The swell of the sea is more than it sometimes is beeing whished by the crew. Every work on the boat seems to be a bit more complicated than it would be on solid ground.
This ARC route from Cran Canaria to St. Lucia is normally driven by Passat wind. This is up to know not the case and the boat is therefore in a constant 15degrees or more position.
Shift at night from 12-3 or 3-6 are not the most wanted.

Mike and Walter created for dinner some hashed potato speciality with onions and apple mousse which we all enjoyed.
Let´s roll ahead, the Albatros is easily to handle on the steering wheel. One can feel the movements like on a small dinghy sailing boat.
