Shine - Day 6: You've made your point...

Having pointed out to the fleet exactly who's in charge of the elements, Neptune's now taking the p**s.

We look forward to not living life at 30 degrees, but all's well on board and the crew are in high spirits, if a little tired. We are currently heading west in 25 knots under blue skies accompanied by flying fish. One clearly failed his first solo flight yesterday as he landed in the cockpit.

The inclement conditions of the last 48 hours ago have certainly cramped the style of our resident foredeck naturist, but this pales into insignificance when set against being awoken in his bunk with a couple of gallons of sea water in the face-window opened by cabin-mate to let a little fresh air in !

We lost all comms yesterday, but with Jerry's Tech Team on board , this was hardly likely to last long. The only other problems we had were a slightly moist sail locker(enter Hugh with his magic sponge)and a mildly belligerent staysail - Tim manfully lead the foredeck team to victory in a thrice.

We are struggling to keep the Great Dane from constantly wanting to head directly for St Lucia, irrespective of wind direction, and assume he has a thirst that requires some major attention.

Skipper serenely calm throughout, beard coming along nicely, looks about 58.

So,after another 24 hours of hard work in , shall we say , slightly inclement conditions we are still heading west, looking for the opportunity to nip south a bit before picking up the trade winds that will carry us to Del Boy Bay, St Lucia.

All for now,

Sam
