Duplicat - Day 6 -Where's the sun?

First of all day 5 was a flat calm, warm day and because of the calm seas we saw so much wildlife. Pods of dolphins, groups of humpback whales at close quarters, pilot whales and two turtles who were drifting on the surface very close to the boat. The smooth seas provided an opportunity for some housekeeping (boatkeeping) including washing down, baking, cooking and generally relaxing. The disadvantage of all this was a day's motoring, the consequence of which leaves us with a dilemma.

Bad weather is forecast to form out to our west which we had anticipated and altered course towards Cape Verdes - we now have to decide whether to stop for fuel for the remainder of the journey which may delay us further as we may arrive over this weekend. Or carry on with what we have hoping that the trade winds fill in for the rest of the trip.

Last night was as black as ink, no horizon, no stars, no moon but lots of wind, rain and bucking around. Welcome to ARC 2013!!
