George - Day 3 all at Sea

At 18:00 last night Steven (name changed to keep his anonymity) ventured into the heads only to find them jammed solid....being an honest and somewhat upright guy, reported this fact to me as skipper. After some extensive investigations I discovered that James (name changed to keep his anonymity) had made boastful remarks about an earlier experience in the said "little room" to a fellow crew member who sang like a canary, when he was asked.... TB

Day 3 and Captain Tim's threat of me being "beaten to death with my own severed arm" has not yet come true. One of the great things about ocean sailing is the opportunity to see wildlife adapting to it's environment. This morning for example, Steve was seen with his head and hands down the toilets unblocking the system, with a glum look on his face. What caused the blockage? Well, apart from the obvious, a twenty pence piece was found. James(names changed to protect Jim) has now been asked to chew his coins for longer before swallowing them in future. Onto music now and Elaine Quinn is banned from passing through speakers during the hours of darkness for the sake of the crew. She makes Leonard Cohen look like an eternal optimist. Meanwhile, we continue south west towards the Cape Verde Islands before turning right (West!) towards the Caribbean only when we are certain we are in the reliable trade winds. Sun is shining, good winds and therefore good boat speed, and the toilets unblocked...life is good. MK

Day 3 and the bullying has already started..... you make one log entry and you're damned for life. As a former law abiding citizen there is no categorical proof that the said item was mine. On investigation into 'log-gate',by Steven Poirot, the on board long arm of the law, it has been found that it could have been anyone of four out of five as the fifth is obviously saving his for a rainy day..... JDR

Day 3 samples obtained today will be sent off for DNA analysis when we reach St Lucia. Where do we store it I wonder? I also know that Steve is not cooking the evening meal tonight!!! MN

Day 3 and the biggest issue facing the skipper and crew is what happened to the twenty pence piece? Is it significant? Is something really nasty brewing aboard S/Y George? Tune in for the next enthralling episode of 'Logs, Lies and Gaffer Tape' an everyday story of sailing folk. SN
