Adina - Day 2

Dawn on day 2 treated us to cloudy skies but more importantly some wind. We discovered on tuning in to the daily ARC call for sailing participants that most boats had used their engines and motored through the windless night so were way ahead of us leaving us at the back. But we are sailors and persisted with our white floppy sails! We're hoping to have caught up a bit as we had good wind. It was a good day despite the seas being bumpy - we are all slowly getting our sea legs. A lot of hand helming too rather than using the autopilot - this is a crew that likes sailing! For dinner we had a chicken and chorizo casserole made by Susie - very, very good. Come night time it was time for more shooting star spotting - Tom has already bagged 6 sightings. We've also identified Venus, Orion, Cassiopeia and the Plough/Big Dipper - Patrick Moore would be proud. Day 3 has dawned nice and sunny as we slowly gybe down south towards the Cape Verde islands to find the trade winds. The answer to yesterdays quiz as to who is a Strictly Dancing fan is...drum roll...Gareth! Today's question - who used to be a synchronised swimmer? Answers by Albatross please. www.yachtadina.co.uk
