Day 3 was every sailors dream.....clear blue sky &
20+ knots of wind on our tail!! Surfing down the waves gives a real adrenaline
rush...top speed
recorded 15.2 kts!! Soy has now got a taste of it &
managed a 13.9kt rush of her own. We managed a very creditable 200 miles in 24
hours. The best Easy
has ever achieved is 210 miles on the way to the
Caribbean.
Day 4 in comparison was a slow
day. We had a 180 degree wind shift & we had a couple of hours plodding
along at just over three kts, followed by 5 hours
at 5kts. Soy kept our spirits high though with her usual
excellent meals.
Today, Sunday, we are speeding along at 9 kts pointed
straight at the Azores. We have covered 655 miles so far, only 1200 to go!
As it's Sunday we have got Soy's Sunday
dinner to look forward to later.....roasted duck, roast spuds & runner beans.....& the sun is
still shining!!

turn!!!!!!
