Mad Fish - End Game

Very typically, yesterday afternoon, with 150 miles to go, the wind shuts down to 12 knots. We carried on under kite until sundown but took it down to save preparing the guest cabin for "Mr Cock-up". Last night saw boatspeeds between 3.5 and 5 knots as we struggled along under main alone, the finish seemingly further away than ever.

First light saw the kite back up. My dodgy spinnaker track repair mk.2 is still holding up. Now we have just enough boatspeed to maybe make landfall in daylight but it is tight.

We have 2/3 of a tank of fresh water left so showers all round which is refreshing.

Really looking forward to seeing our friends at the finish and most of all a cold beer. Or two. Maybe a rum as well....etc.

54 miles to go.
