Puddle Jumper - hoorah

Just reached half way mark & captain has allowed us all a glass of champagne to celebrate. As it is a special occasion John & I have served the crew Ribeye steak which they all seem to have really enjoyed.
We have found the cooking far from easy with the constant rocking & rolling of the boat. No matter how careful you are things go flying all over the place much to the amusement of the others but not to us 2 cooks we have to try & keep a sense of humour but I think today I may have got the Gruffalo award rather than the captain!! Anyway we have had no complaints about the food which keeps us going when we are slaving away.

The trip today has been the same as the last few with fairly heavy seas & the wind behind pushing us along but this is forecast to change in next few days. In the daytime it has been fairly cloudy but when the sun comes out we are all being careful not to get sunburnt.  All we see everyday is an endless panorama of open ocean but we did see our first ship about 2 miles away the first we have seen for ages. As Will said yesterday it is strange we do not see more vessels we do feel totally on our own.

We have changed the watch system to cope with the change of Time Zones & we are all finding this quite tiring as we up 5 hours each most nights plus all the jobs that have to be done during the day so we are all experiencing a touch of sleep deprivation.

If the wind does drop we will be putting up the big new Parasail that Will bought which hopefully should be able to power us along in the less windy conditions.
Everybody is in good form & all staying in good health . Provisions and water lasting well & should see us through comfortably.

Must go now on watch shortly as we continue on our trip to St.Lucia. All looking forward to meeting everyone when we get there.
All crew send love & best wishes.
Charles
