Fidelis of London - Day 5 by Lon

It´s our 5th day out at sea and we´ve had wind, rain, waves and some sunshine. But it´s not very warm yet. I thought that by now I´d be tanning in my bikini and relaxing! Unfortunately most of the time I´m still in my tracksuit and a warm jacket. We´ve had all sorts of things flying through the boat, including people. I haven´t quite gotten my appetite back yet, so we´ll arrive in St Lucia with plenty of leftovers, and hopefully looking like Kate Moss! Maybe we should throw some food overboard to lighten the ship, so that we´ll actually arrive before the end of this year. Today we put the main sail up again, with 2 reefs because we thought it would stabilize the boat a bit more. We did´t get any stabilisation from it but we´re going around 7 knots, which is a bit faster than usual, so we´re happy. We saw the most amazing rainbow today! The end of it was right next to our boat, but there was no pot of gold... so we were all rather disappointed. For now it looks like the Ostrea will get there before us, so Thomas might just lose the bet and he´ll have to go naked. But with our 2100 liters of Diesel we might just be able to catch up with them! Me and Thomas like to sing along to Sail Away by David Gray, and since we´re in the Atlantic with hardly anyone around, we can sing as loud as we want to. Without waking everyone up of course. Everything´s going quite well on board! I´m looking forward to arriving in St Lucia!!
