0400 at watch change gybed to pick up SE - initially sailing about 240 degrees - gradually coming round to about 250. 20-30 knot breeze - rock and rolling between 9 - 12 knots - surfing top speed 17.4k. Main events of today - fresh cheese scones courtesy Judy and Paul - desqueaking of heads by Bogmeister Walker - Mr Magee supervising water re-stowage - Nic and Rog controlling deck - Ian, Trev, Rog, Jason and Russsell doing some helming - repair of safety line, change of chafed genny sheet - now getting ready for chicken in tarragon and mushroom sauce with crushed potatoes with garlic and cheese. Getting used to very long nights - and managing to get some sleep on the two watch system. Expecting another 24h of similar conditions. Passed 1000 miles 30 minutes ago.
