Hello all
well we are on our way again! it was really hard sat in the marina knowing
that 2/3rds of the fleet where on their way to St. Lucia and we where sat
waiting however after leaving again all is much better. We are now sailing dead
downwind, breeze very much up and down as the rain squalls come through but
making good progress towards the finish.
The crew seem to be settling in well, helming has been going very well with
some strong helms on both watches... more important than that though is we
caught our first Tuna!!!
whilst sailing upwind
through the last of the acceleration zone at the bottom of Gran Canaria we
cooked it up and had a very nice first dinner at sea!
I would imagine the rest of the fleet have either left, or are untying
their lines to chase us down now, it feels very much like we are in the middle
of two packs, one to be hunted, the other the hunter!!
hope all is well back at home and love to all family and friends
all the best
