Turbo's Tub - Night 1 & Day 2 in the Blue Water

Turbo’s Tub made it out of the gulf stream on Night 1.  They were greeted with lovely warm air and calm seas.  Sailing was not very fast as the wind was pretty calm, but compared to Day 1, I don’t think they are complaining.  It gave them a chance to rest.  The breeze is forecasted to pick up tonight and into tomorrow so with the wind comes the waves.

Michael was at the helm last night during some of the rough seas, while Hutch worked hard to grill some filet mignon and asparagus.  Thanks to Kyle for getting all of the delicious food.  The fresh cooked food on The Tub in the middle of the ocean is delicious.

The sunset last night and sunrise this morning were amazing.  Last night’s moon was particularly beautiful and looked like some sort of eclipse with all of the colors.  At night you can see a million stars.  The water is a beautiful shade of blue and is 76 degrees, which is about what we experience in the Chesapeake Bay during the late summer months.

Fishing was a bit more successful today.  They caught a fish, fought it for a while and then brought it on board.  They estimate that it was 2 or 3 pounds and they ended up throwing it back so dinner tonight will come from the gourmet selections provided by Kyle.

Their most recent position on the tracker shows they are heading South and are 323 nautical miles from Green Turtle Cay.
