Freedom Found - Log Day 16 Thurs Whales ahoy!

Hi Guys Yes were still going but not far to go now (for this leg!) It appears the brick has not been sending automatic updates to allow you to track us. Were currently 257 nm west of Horta Faial Azores. Were expecting to arrive Sat pm. Hopefully by 2pm - bets are on..... Weather outlook is good for next few days with WSW winds 10-20kts. Having gone south to avoid the bad weather were now back along the 38 latitude heading on a direct run to the Azores. As we have no meat now (other than cans :-( Marisa is fishing again. Mark is continuing to do an excellent job in the galley and is proud to say that he has not repeated any meal since leaving Ft Lauderdale. Quite a feat! & well done!! Irish stew with last of meat last night was yummy (remainder I understand will be converted to a curry for lunch!). Saw our first sign of a Whale yesterday. Saw it blow twice so does that make it a confirmed sighting but it seemed to be chasing Tuna? Was it a Orca whale??? Lots of little monitoring 'things' in the sea ? we presume they monitor tidal flow. Any one else got ideas? Its a big sea out here! Reconciliation required with tactician so using my mediation skills! Marks head is healing well after sterri strips came to the rescue - shame about the weird haircut provided ala Marisa........

Currently 256 nm to go as at Thurs 13:00 UTC 38 22.5 N 33 58.3 W

Grant, Mark(o) /patch), Marisa & Jorge
