Greetings from yacht Ensemble.
We managed 140nm in the last 24 hours (to 7am) - not too bad considering the wind was very light. We got the Parasailor up and after some mucking around got it settled. We took it down in the evening as we didn't want to risk it with approaching squalls - and didn't mind taking some more North on our course.
The seas are fairly flat but have a bit of a cross swell - annoying in that the boom moves around a bit - so we fitted a preventer.
We are now settling into the Magali and David boat routine. We do 6 hour watches - with me taking the 'dog watch' - and this seems to work ok for sleep.
We have now had 2 AFDs (alcohol free days) - and now that we're not going to happy our and eating out every night for dinner - we are starting to feel a bit lighter...
Magali is writing more recipes - and has prepared 10 for our friend in Australia's sailing web site - (details to follow).
We've re-armed the fishing lines and have three in the water - so hopefully will see some action (so far only flying fish!)
