Talisman LII - Day 3
This is the day that everyone probably wants to forget. The seas were very uncomfortable & everyone was motoring. The main theme was to try & get the boat going as fast as possible without burning too much fuel & keep the right amount of sail up to stabilize & increase the speed. It finally comes to end on Day 4 but it was a trying part of the trip. Not much to report except it was a chance to refine your motorsailing skills. The crew stayed rested some how, had a little fun watched the floating plants go by. The boats further ahead reported good sailing conditions so it helped knowing we needed to get in another 50 to 70 miles to escape the rolling & give the engine a break (50 plus hrs & counting). A night with many stars & phosphorescence in the water followed by a very bright moon helped to entertain. We are patiently waiting for those winds.
