We went to the hospital again yesterday morning and got the go-ahead from the doctor to depart based on Kathryn's improved condition. We decided to stay another day to rent a double-cab pickup truck and tour the island. It was a worthwhile trip, visiting a large archaeological reconstruction of a ceremonial village. The air conditioning in the cab was nice also!
We plan to have breakfast ashore, one more visit to the creperie. The forecast is for very light winds so we may end up motoring much of the way to the Tuamotu's, expecting to arrive Easter morning.
We've had a great two week visit here in the Marquesas, look forward to the low-lying islands of the Tuamotu's and better snorkeling.
