Crazy Horse - April 10

This is Sunday in Bequia. It has been a rainy crazy day on the moorings in Port Elizabeth Harbor. Matt and Anna took off on a dinghy ride to some of the forts off the end of the island. It has been raining on and off all day and doesn't look like the ususal weather we have in the Caribbean at all.

The boats even have been moving crazy on their moorings and we had to push off another boat so they wouldn't hit. The guy who owns them came along about that time wanting me to pay him the next nights fee and I kind of went off on him. We almost hit another boat behind us as well so we were all a little nervous as we kept moving in 360 deg circles. After that he moved us to a different mooring and gave us a discount. Discount and boats are an oxymoron so that was pleasant surprise for us all.

Bill and I spent pretty much the whole day on the boat working on the engine and cleaning up. Bill managed to get the clogged hose cleaned out that was keeping the engine from getting enough water through the intake hose. There were leaves, pine leavy looking things, shells, and barnacles in the hose. We were amazed all that could grow in one short year. So now we feel better that our pipes are cleaned out.

Jeannius had a curry night. She had seventeen of us on her boat. Jean made three different kinds of curry. One with chicken, one with chick peas, and the last with lentils. They were all delicious. Jean is a fabulous cook so we were all stuffed and happy before the nights end. We also had a showing of the pictures that Bob and Moe had of the wedding. Bob and Maggie made a wonderful slide show of the event complete with music and we all ouuuued and ahhhhed at all the pictures. They captured the event so perfectly and didn't miss a highlight at all. They even took a picture of Annie and Jim jumping off the end of the pier in their wedding clothes.

We will probably stay here today until we get our fuel and customs check out completed. So we may leave this afternoon or tomorrow am early. Our tricolor light has blown out so we are nervous about going through the night with only our regular low running night lights on. Our goal is to be in St. Lucia on the 12th. So we will see.

Rosemary, Bill, Matt, and Anna
