Crazy Horse - April 3

We made it to Mayreau today around 2pm. We had a great sail from Carriacou. We are now officially in the Grenadines. We have not ever been here in our sailing experience. They look beautiful from the sea. There are so many little islands and lots of wonderful places to snorkel. This is the place Maryann and I should have gone snorkeling. There are many reefs and rocks and beautiful clear water.

As we furled up the jib and took down the main we decided to motor the last mile. By the time we turned off the motor at the anchorage Bill opened the engine hatch to check on the prop shaft that we have been having so many problems with the last two days. Of course this has all happened since we had it worked on at Grenada Marine. Well, the shaft had come off the coupling and was leaking water in by the gallon. He quickly went into action and Matt jumped overboard to push in the shaft. They made a quick repair and had to tighten up the coupling nuts that the marina must not have tightened enough. Hopefully that was why it was making such a horrendous noise and had lots of vibration last night as we went into the anchorage. We thought that we had gotten caught on a fishing net. Matt went down to check this morning and no net. Anyway, we decided whenever you get things fixed four more go wrong after the fact. Boats! How frustrating.

We are beginning to pray more than ever we get back home with no further issues. We are just glad that the shaft gave up the ghost as we came in and were at anchorage. Guess our angel was looking after us once again. We especially don't want any problems as we have Anna with us and she has already been through enough!

So we are here and Bill went off to Union Island with Mike, Bill, Jim, and Annie to get checked in. We are excited about the upcoming wedding. All the plans are finally coming together and we can see the beautiful church at the top of the hill. Jutta and Jochem have gotten everything together for their party as well. As I sit writing this blog I can hear the music blaring on the island. They are already having some celebrations. I think this island is just one long celebration.

As I was hurrying along to bring up the trash one morning in the marina one of the workers told me to slow down. He said there was no hurry. He also told me I was on the Lord's time and it was up to me to do with it what I wanted. So I should just slow down and enjoy every moment the Lord gave me.  I think I am finally beginning to understand 'Island Time". Maybe I should carry that Idea home with me.

Rosemary, Bill, Matt, and Anna
