Crazy Horse - Grenada

Here Maryann and I sit at La Sagesse Nature Center while Bill and Matt get our work done on Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse is on the hard at Grenada Marine nearby. I feel like a woman without a home. We are staying at La Sagesse which is a wonderful hotel stationed right on the beach within a lagoon that is far from the maddening crowd.

My sister and I were stationed at Grenada Beach Resort for a few days too while Bill and Matt were working on Crazy Horse. So we have been touring around the island and seeing what it has to offer in the way of plants, flowers, scenery , shops, and food. Today we are going to Laura's Herb and Spice Center. They grow many of the spices and herbs that are exported from the island and also which are used in the many restaurants here. We have also been swimming here on the wonderful lagoon and tanning on the lovely beach. It has been nice to have Maryann here so I can have an excuse to relax with her and see the local sights. Otherwise I would be working on the boat which is quite hot now that she is landlocked.

We attended the award dinner which was quite moving. Everyone, by now has arrived and are relaxing and winding down from the last leg of the rally. It has hit many of us that we will all be moving off in different directions toward home and other cruising grounds. Anna from Basia will be traveling with Crazy Horse for the rest of the journey to St. Lucia. We are so happy to have her on board with us. Basia and Mike will be with Destiny for the rest of the trip to St. Lucia. We are all getting the last minute repairs done to our boats so we can make the rest of the journey safely home.

There are many emotions going on within us now. There is one of sadness that this end of a life changing experience. There is joy that we have completed a goal that was quite challenging at times, painful at times, and filled us with joy at times. We will be happy to return to family, friends, work, and yacht club members. There is a lot to process and recollect. The friends we have made here will be remembered to the end of our days. What a collection of people.

We have met many of the people who have supporting us on land back home here in Grenada. They have met us on the rally as well. We will meet more supportive family and friends at our last stop of Grenada. It has been nice to meet the folks who say they have followed our blog the whole way. We feel a kinship through the lines. Thanks for your loyalty in reading about our experiences. We feel your support. I will write more on our journey through these islands until our last stop of St. Lucia. Thanks for your continued reading.

Rosemary, Bill and Matt
