Crazy Horse - Nov. 8

We are still clawing our way to Richard's Bay out here about 200 miles off the coast of Africa. We have a timeline to keep with a front coming in after Wed. midnight. We are planning on making it to Richard's Bay before that. Otherwise we have to sit outside the coast before the Agulhas current for a couple more days in some pretty wild weather.

So we are making a beeline for the coast hopefully before the front hits. Ocean J. is behind us a short way and Eowyn, Thor VI , Chessie, Basia and several others are in front of us. Drammer and Tzigane will make it today. Voyageur, Brown-Eyed Girl , and Jeannius I think are going in tomorrow on a different tack directly from the west. This is all what I heard this morning on the morning broadcast. So some things might change due to these fast paced weather systems. Remember, these are things I have heard through the grapevine. We have to rely on the weather people for their updated reports.

Our trip home might have to be delayed somewhat so we can make the trip down to Capetown. It would be preferable to make the trip down south in the company of other boats for support. Even though we plan on going home our time there might have to be shortened to accomodate the weather challenges. We are somewhat frustrated but are trying to take one day at a time and
recognize we are at the mercy of the weather.

The wind is supposed to fill in today but we are motoring now. We'd like to have at least 10-15kt of consistent wind from the north west so we can make a little better time. So if anyone can place that order for us we'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Rosemary, Bill and Matt
