Jus'Do It 3 - last day in Coffs

Friday 8th July

It’s another crisp, fresh morning – almost frosty, sunny and bright. The Ray-marine man arrives first thing and takes away some bits to repair. Annie wanders off to visit a gallery of aboriginal art and pick up some groceries while Ian and Phil go back to the balcony restaurant for breakfast. By the time we get back the headsail has been returned and Ian and Phil put it back on. A beer at the yacht club then Annie heads into town to buy a new duvet while Ian and Phil refuel and fill the water tanks. The Ray-marine man is back working on the boat until sunset and appears to have done a good job. Annie prepares some food for the next leg and we amuse ourselves watching the huge black and white pelicans and cormorants in the bay. At night we go for a Thai meal ashore then a couple of beers in the Pier Hotel where we get chatting to some local fishermen. We return to the boat and wait until high water, approximately 11pm, when we motor out of the harbour and anchor in the bay to wait until dawn. A pretty boring day……
