Jus'Do It 3 - sitting in Noumea

Tuesday 22nd July

Ian and Stewy continue with repair jobs assisted by Kevin. Phil and Annie spend the morning chilling out at their hotel. Alex goes out exploring for the day. There’s more information coming in regarding the weather and it seems we may get 40 knots in here by the end of the week. This is frustrating as it looks like we may have to sit it out here rather than go cruising– there’s a big demand for berths and if we leave this one to go cruising we may not find a good enough anchorage for strong winds. Two other Arc boats have arrived in – One Life and Quasar of LLewyn – they’re also looking for somewhere to park up until the weather is right.  Stewy’s decided there isn’t time for him to do the crossing now so he’s booking a flight to leave on Thursday. We’re trying to get information from as many sources as possible but who knows how long we may have to wait. Phil treats us all to a lovely lunch in Citron Bay then Ian and Stewy do more work on the boat. Annie goes shopping for jumpers for Ian and some fleece blankets as we’re soon going to be heading into the cold !!! Alex is having a quiet night aboard. The rest go for a few drinks and some dinner – a quiet night.
