Crazy Horse - Getting READY for start

Hello out there to all interested readers!

The Crazy Horse and crew have been madly getting the boat prepared to return to sea and north to the Chesapeake Bay. She has had a major facelift after some long trips around the globe. Miles and co. have done an absolutely superb job of painting her hull, bottom , mast and boom . She looks ever so much better! She has a new attitude as well- we can just feel it ! We finally had the time to get back onto the blog site after shopping, cleaning, putting sails back on, cleaning, and getting all parts into working order.

Of course we have had a taste of the local rum punch, painkillers, and some great food right here at Peg Legs. Surely, you can imagine that hasn't affected us in any way of getting our jobs completed as crew members!

We have met some of the great participants of this ARC -USA rally. Everyone is getting to know each other and some of us will be going to the States directly and others will be going to Bermuda then make a left to the States yet others will be making the right to Europe. Crazy Horse is with the group going to Ft. Lauderdale directly. This is where we bought Crazy Horse so she will be making her way back to the barn so to speak. Matt and I will be catching a flight up to Baltimore and Bill will be taking his new crew of Nick and Joe back up to MYC and the Chesapeake Bay.

We have been here a week so we are excited to get started on our journey home. I think we have adjusted to the weather finally down here. It has been very hot but of course Bill has the a/c on down below. Shut the door!!!!!

We have heard murmurs that the weather should be great for our passage through the Old Bahama Channel.

Tonight is the final farewell dinner. Last minute jobs are being completed. Did we remember everything? Well, after the start if we did forget something... time to start adapting, overcoming, and improvising!
