Southern Child - Day 11 05/12

Day 11 05/12
Position 1200: 17* 44' 89N 046* 17' 98W
Daily Run: 144Nm
Distance to Waypoint: 871Nm

Sun is shining and we're sailing goosewinged in 16 knots of wind. But the wind speed has been fickle lately, and we're doing our best to keep the boat speed up and navigate away from the dreaded wind hole. Today Bounty and Gum Flapping Cedric share how they feel when the instruments showing the wind displays a single digit.
Bounty: "I feel put down to the rules nature has given us."
Cedric: "Completely frustrated, because we're not going forward, and because of the wear and tear it does to the gear as the sails flap back and forth."
What was the worst wind hole you ever got stuck in?
Bounty: "I never really had one, because I always had enough wind coins with me."
Cedric: "In front of the Fastnet 2011 finish line, really close to it, and suddenly the fleet catching up on the horizon."
Highlight of the day: Everytime the wind came back!! Woohoo!!!
