Persistent Lady - Two weeks until Bermuda :)

So how do I begin? It's hard to keep a log a week into a trans-Atlantic sailing trip, but I will try my best. For the past week I have been living aboard Persistent Lady. The boat is a 1981 Hardin 45. The boat is amazing with just as amazing owners. I will skip the shake down trip we had from New York to Portsmouth (Hopefully will be told in a future post) and skip to what happened today. We had a lot of work to complete on Persistent Lady. The trip down south created a big mess on the boat; which we have been trying to clean up for the past two days. We have gotten to the point where we can all consider the boat a truly comfortable home for the next few months. Today Andreas and I took out the dinghy for a ride to the nearest mall to buy some new equipment for the trip. Long story short, we were pulled over for cruising too fast with a big smile on our faces ;) A little more work, dinner, and wine with our group and the day is done. No one can ask for more. Happy to be aboard Persistent Lady…
