Albatros - ALBATROS Day 18. / 11.Dec.

Our position is 14.48N, 58.48W with a ETMAL of 197nm for the last 24hours. Because we are faster than expected we will probably
arrive in St. Lucia in the early morning hours of Thursday. For the wellcoming it might have been better to arrive during day light.
We are all happy to have Saint Lucia in close distance therefore we are exercising our 2 songs. The last night is about to come and the
major topics are the planning of the landfall. Everyone is developing his ideas.

Our 2 songs for everyone who wants to try and join our Albatrosen choir:

Song 1: Vogu Lisi (acc. original Swiss folclore song)

Wen i nume wuesst wo ds Vogu Lisi waer
Ds Vogu Lisi chunnt vo Adubodae haer
Adubodae ligt im Baerneroberland, ds Baerneroberland isch schoen
ja ds Oberland ja ds Oberland, ds Baerneroberland isch schoen
ja ds Oberland ja ds Oberland, ds Baerneroberland isch schoen

Song 2: Wir lagen vor Madagaskar Melody / Song modified by the Albatrosen

Wir eierten durch die Naechte und hatten nur Eintopf an Bord
In den Toepfen dampften Kartoffeln und taeglich gingen Eimer ueber Bord

Ahoi Kameraden Ahoi Ahoi
Lebwohl Wein und Bier, Lebwohl Lebwohl

Wenn der Wasserkessel pfeifft ist ein Anschiss nicht mehr weit
ja dann sind die Albatrosen so still ja so still

Weil jeder nach Santa Lucia sich sehnt,
Weil er kaffeebraune Maedels sehen will.

original versions to be found on Youtube;-) 125miles of a 2800miles journey with nothing but water around the Albatros, we enjoyed our last lunch on deck and everyone has his own wishes he is looking for:

Beer, a great shower, Wife, Girlfriend, his own bed, Yogurth, going to church etc.
