Hot Stuff - Fairies of the Lost Arc - Chapter 11

Big news broadcast!!!
We are pleased to announce the Trade Winds are not a myth ... they have finally arrived! Hotstuff has been transformed overnight from a black run ski-slope to the star surfer from Point Break. We are getting used to living life on a see saw corkscrew roller-coaster now and loving life moving at 8 knots. The hull and rig hums with the speed it sounds delicious. Did someone say Pina Coladas?!

Today we had the long awaited and belated half way party now turned trade wind/1000 miles countdown party. We celebrated in style with a yummy mushroom risotto flavoured with the highly prized truffle oil (aka cup-a-soup). This was followed by tinned strawberries and warm UHT cream - eaten from the same cups that we had drunk our two bottles of Moet Brut. Best meal we have eaten in 15 days with no exceptions. We all got dutifully tipsy on three teaspoons of champagne. What happened to the hardened drinkers of Las Palmas...? On the plus side we will be a cheap night out in St.Lucia boys!

Tricia’s gave her X rated gift today which is far too outrageous to mention here, but all will be revealed on our arrival...

Not that we are in a rush to get there but we've now created various charts with our exact arrival times according to exact speeds. Poor Nikki's ears are hurting from the relentless question "Are we nearly there yet?" This has now been banned along with "Do you think we'll get there in the morning or the evening?" "Do you know what day we will get there?" "Can I schedule my hair wash/moustache removal/leg shave in yet?"

The greengrocers' has now practically shut down. The only produce left is 484 onions, 1 lime, 2 cloves of garlic and a partridge in a pear tree. We have been eating on average 3 cloves of garlic per person per day it appears, so you will smell us before you see us arrive in St. Lucia.

The washing up has become a bane of contention as seven of us have now broken every bone in our arms trying to get water out of the sea as Hot Stuff’s speeds increase. (see previous blog for bucket process). This activity may have to be put on hold and the baby wipes will come out in force. Anyway who cares if your morning coffee tastes of champagne/vinaigrette/cup-a-soup?

We can now bask in the glorious knowledge that we are two thirds of the way across the Atlantic Ocean. Just nine girls on a 40ft yacht. We rock dudes!

p.s. we feel that slight insanity  is beginning to take hold...

With love and Fairy dust from the Girls4Sail crew on Hotstuff.
