Albatros - ALBATROS Day 14 Dec.07

Yesterday's dinner, we enjoyed Manfred's Tuna Dish.

Although Nic doesn't favour seafood, he hit the record in Tuna eating. We all enjoyed the fresh fish. We were observing again 6 Tunas following our bug for a long time, We think they said farewell to their brother.

We also tried to sail with the spinnaker; when he was up, the wind disappeared and we had to face some
Engine hours. Early this saturday morning we then tried to set it up again as a Genacker and see, it worked.
Still some low winds, but in the morning hours we were able to make some speed around 5 knots with a pretty low swell, almost like sailing on a lake.

The Electrical generator works again after finding the failure. The only thing which doesn't work are the solarpanels because the Power inverter got some water and broke.

The motivation of the crew is good, although we are looking forward to eventually reach Rodney Bay.
Wind is key, so we all hope to have some increase in the near future. According to the weather forecast we can expect stronger winds within 24 hours.
Yesterday was a very hot day, with the sun burning on our boat. We also heard that the first Boat 'Caro' reached Saint Lucia in a new record under 11 days.

The swiss learnt some Koelnisch expressions, like 'leck mi in de Taesch, or 'faxen dick', or 'mach kene Fisimataenchen'.
We are still working on it to learn our german colleagues the Swiss Song 'Vogu Lisi'. ThereĀ“s still a long way to go....
