Firefly - Shark!!!!

You will be pleased to read that we are already extremely careful to ensure we do not fall overboard. However, what better way to make us even more vigilant is to see a huge shark. Well we only saw the fin pass the boat about 10 meters away this morning but it was massive, very light grey, based on the size of the fin the fish must have been 15 to 20 feet long.

As a little aside but to make sure he /she knows we are on the side of the shark, lets hope the beautiful creature never gets caught, killed and have its fin made into an oriental soup - come on Greenpeace and other similar organizations, we all need to get behind you in a world wide campaign to save the shark, just like was achieved with saving the whale!

Firefly is bombing along goose winged with about 15 to 20 knots of breeze on the stern. Its still quite squally and those puffy little trade wind clouds are not yet visible - but we are hoping we are now in the zone and can settle down, goin' down that highway!
